After the island with the massive stone creatures several more or less minor events happen. We captured two more ships, fought off an undead crew, got some more crew and somehow manged to loose our captain and Sherman. While we would later find Sherman tied up after having been um.. “used” by Rosie Cusswell (F.Halfling) our captain would remain lost for the time being. While I’m sure some would think it more then minor to loose a captain there was no clue to his disappearance and so not much that we could do about it. White Cloud, who has shown great skill in talking his way out of many situations, was voted in to become the new captain in Growltiger’s place.
After having just relieved a ship of it’s cargo and getting underway again we decided to it was time to go to the Rock. We heard about the Rock when we had finished getting out ship squibed. Later from Ambrose “Fishguts” Kroop we were told there is a tradition among pirates to take the Rock to prove themselves. We figured it was time for others to know us and that taking the Rock would help in that endeavor.
On the way to the island we were unable to find any information from any of the crew. “Without any information we should attack the Rock at night,” said Sherman. Whitecloud nods in agreement “We’ll take the ship past the Rock to get a look at it then sail past beyond the horizon and come back on a dinghy.”
The trip past the island and back by dinghy was uneventful. We moved stealthy and thankfully where able to make it to the base of the tower without any guards spotting us. After a quick scouting we discovered that the only door was face a series of steps that lead down to a river. While Sherman was scouting the far side of the tower he spotted our way in. “There is a shepherd with his flock they are coming this way,” he whispered. Sure enough the shepherd came around the corner and opened the door. Before I could draw on my power an arrow flew from Aeolus’s bow and caught the youth in the shoulder. I did not wish the boy further harm so I brought forth a wave that shove him inside and moved to the door.
As we rushed inside we were greeted by two guards with weapons drawn.
